2021 – 2022 Astrology Predictions and Potentials
Hi everybody! Here are my predictions for the possible potentials for the year 2021-2022.
2021 has got quite a different flavour to 2020. 2020 is a very cardinal year with all these cardinal aspects: Mars retrograde in Aries. Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. The seeding of a New Earth has been initiated.
As astrologers, we always look at the outer planets when we want to look further ahead. We look at the planets that move more slowly so we can get an idea of the kind of cycle that we’re in. Let’s look at Pluto: Pluto was found in 1930 and it coincided with the birth pill, splitting the atom and the creation of the Bomb, and the invention or the finding of the computer chip.
Pluto is connected with power and is will be in Capricorn until 2024. It’s likely we have several more years of pulling down old structures and creating new ones that are more equitable for every person on our planet. Rather than the few who run our world now, a more horizontal kind of power is likely to emerge.
As we move towards Pluto in Aquarius, around 2024 / 2025, the potential is for us to move away from the top-down energy towards the Aquarian energy which is the collective reaching out and equality for everybody no matter who you are, where you’re from, whatever your background is. That’s what we’re moving towards. However, the aspects show that during 2021, chances are we’re still going to be dealing with issues to do with authorities, rules, regulations and how we structure our world. We’re living amidst the chaos of the dismantling of structures: financial, education, social, political, ecological. We may see old structures crumbling further during 2021.
Neptune was sighted in 1846. Prior to 1846, if you wanted to have an image or a portrait made, it had to be either sketched or painted or sculpted. In 1847 came the widespread development of a camera and everything to do with visual communications, videos and film. Neptune is in Pisces runtil 2025 encouraging us to raise our spiritual temperature, finding compassion, finding unity and the higher octave of love.
Neptune can also create confusion, delusion, disillusionment, betrayals, dishonesty. On the opposite end of all of that, on the highest level, we are stretching and reaching towards understanding that we are all interconnected with everything seen and unseen.
Uranus was sighted in 1781 and by 1783 there was the first unmanned balloon flight. Man began to fly in the air intentionally, rather than falling off mountains or tall buildings. We began to learn how to work with the air. Uranus has everything to do with our development of space and technology and this area has blossomed more and more.
Uranus is in Taurus until 2025. Taurus rules our financial systems and Uranus shakes everything up that is no longer working. Uranus is in Taurus until 2025 which is likely to cause huge, erratic turbulences within markets. Uranus rules digitalisation and chances are, we’re probably going to see a digital currency emerging. More ways of exchanging services online without using physical cash will likely emerge, because gradually we’re getting away from touching anything.
Saturn goes into Aquarius at the end of 2020 along with Jupiter. This is marking the end of a long cycle where Saturn and Jupiter have been conjunct in Earth signs for the last 200 years. We’ve had the industrial revolution, the use of fossil fuels, pollution damaging our environment, and now we move into a much lighter, air frequency. We’re likely to have more solar energy, wind energy and free energy.
There will be more focus upon energy medicine, energy healing. Several years ago, in my 2020-2030 seminar, I said that we’re going to be moving away from people because Aquarius is not touchy feely. Aquarius likes a lot of space around it and it doesn’t like huggy and kissy sort of stuff. It doesn’t mean to say that if you’re an Aquarius you don’t like it, it’s just that Aquarius needs a lot of space to be an individual so this is a time where the individual needs to be respected. The Dignity of Difference as Rabbi Sacks called it in his book – respecting the differences between us and begin working as a whole. This is the bigger picture we’re working towards.
We’re having to clear the air but in that process some of the dangers are that we become dehumanized. When I went to Austria recently, just for one night, I noticed that you don’t touch anything when going in a lift. There are many places already that have this method. It’s only one person at a time in a lift, no touching and no buttons to press. In the airports now, there is a lesser need to touch. I think we’re transitioning into an era where there is less touching and we’re going to have work more with mental energy.
Air is connected with mind energy, using the power of thought to manifest rather than working with physical matter which is much denser. With the reset of the economy and many jobs dissolving, many people are working from home and we are moving towards AI technology. Menial or repetitive jobs are going to be done by robots and humans will not be needed for those kinds of things. There’s a sea of change in work and finance due to the transit of Uranus in Taurus.
What is special about this year 2021?
The main aspect resonating throughout this year is the square between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. A square is an uncomfortable aspect which is great. When things are going well, people tend to go to sleep. You can’t go to sleep during a square of Saturn and Uranus especially in fixed signs. Saturn is about restriction and Uranus is about freedom. There are going to be many issues coming up globally around restrictions of freedoms. We’re already seeing it, but chances are we’re going to see more protests, more riots, more demonstrations, more demands for freedom.
This is likely to be a tense time. You could compare this energy with the example of being around somebody you really don’t like and finding a way to see the world from their perspective. Polarities are likely to be magnified and there’s probably going to be fighting. It might be verbal fighting but it will be this sense of “don’t pin me in” and “don’t tell me what to do” alongside with “these are the rules” and “this is what you’re going to do otherwise you will be fined”.
Privacy is all but over. Cameras are going to be on us all the time and you will be traceable wherever you are on the planet. We’re beginning to learn that we are a global community that is all connected on one planet. Communities will begin to emerge and create their own set of rules outside the existing system. People will begin to work with the earth and nature in harmonious and constructive ways.
Disruptive weather patterns and earth events are likely with this square. We need to acknowledge what we’ve done wrong, what is unhealthy and then begin to correct it. The square energy will motivate more people to act than ever before because it will be so uncomfortable, the discomfort will be so much that you’ve got to make a move, you’ve got to make a change.
This is not a comfortable year but it’s a year in which I think we’re going to see huge changes to the educational system especially with the eclipses in Gemini and Sagittarius. More parents will want to home school their children and learning on the internet will become commonplace.
Gradually we are moving towards the merging of biology and technology. We need to find ethical and valuable ways of melding the two.
The Aquarian energy will encourage us to develop our use of the airwaves, especially energy. There are likely to be some very exciting developments.
With Uranus in Taurus, the need to make sure that every person on our planet has their needs met will be mandatory. Millionaires and billionaires may be targeted and their philanthropic gestures will not be enough for the people. Politically, we’re going to see huge changes with some regimes falling. With the nodes in the mutable signs, there is every chance that the virus may mutate and we have to mutate as well and learn how to change and adapt to it.
We need to come together because the only outer planet that is in rulership of the outer planets is Neptune in Pisces. This gives it the potential to have the strongest effect. More and more people are going to get in touch with their spirituality and the meaning of life. 2021 is this year of breaking out of your limitations, breaking out of fixed habit patterns.
Maybe it’s your health, maybe it’s your relationships, maybe it’s your work, whatever it is and keep stretching beyond the limits. For example, if a plant is in a small pot, it cannot grow beyond the circumference of that pot. If you replant it in a bigger pot, it can grow bigger. How big is your pot? Are you going to extend yourself even if it feels uncomfortable? We are in the process of birthing into a new world.
There’s every chance that stock markets are going to continue to rise for a while as the system is propped up artificially. It’s likely that gold and silver will go up considerably although there will be very volatile and big swings in different directions, same with the cryptocurrencies. If you can keep in mind and keep resonating at that highest level, know that structures are falling, know that we’re going through this massive change, know that we’re in the same boat we’re not in different boats and we’re in one boat. How can we learn to get along with one another? That’s going to be the challenge of 2021.
